Locals get discounts everywhere here, you just have to show an address and because its such a small place probably only the once. I guess the discount for locals came in due to the amount you have to pay to live there. for example, I lived in a car that had no wheels which could literally only just fit a single mattress inside it for 3 months paying $185 p/w. But in all honesty, your paying for a paradise location.
